Her last studio in San Francisco on Yosemite Avenue was next to mine. Noel’s studio was on the other side. I got to know her during the time I spent at Charles Campbell’s Gallery on Chestnut Street and from The Dolphin Club where we both swam in the icy-cold bay. Her day in India was such a sad moment.
