  • That’s a great interpretation and beautifully put. Have you seen the Felix Gonzalez-Torres golden curtain that’s up at the museum right now? I think it too conveys a feeling of traveling from one world to another.

  • The climb is intriguing, and recalls something Judeo-Christian. At the bottom is darkness, and above some clarity in life, perhaps heavenly. But parenthesized in that binary is the evolution, the progressions, the curves and windings on hardness, struggles.
