The women&#039;s picture is a useful framework for understanding SHOWGIRLS. It was not without moments that would have been right at home in say, DANCE GIRL DANCE just as one example.The &quot;midnight movie&quot; intro for the film at this screening was dismaying.  (Certainly many of us would like to be Peaches Christ, but really . . .)
